Notice of
receiving sealed bids for vehicles owned by Northern Indiana Commuter
Transportation District (NICTD). The equipment is identified as the
following:

All vehicle bids
must be accompanied with a check for an amount equal to ten (10) percent of
the submitted bid. In the event that a bidder’s offer is accepted by NICTD,
and the bidder declines to promptly purchase the equipment, NICTD shall be
permitted to retain the bond without penalty. All checks for bids that are
not accepted by NICTD will be promptly returned to the bidder after the sale
of the equipment is finalized to the successful bidder.
All equipment is
offered on an “AS SEEN – AS IS” basis. Equipment is available for inspection
on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM,
local time, at 601 N. Roeske Avenue, Michigan City, IN, 46360. Bids will be
opened on Friday, October 7th, 2011, at 2:30 PM, local time, at the Michigan
City Offices, 601 N. Roeske Ave, Michigan City, IN, 46360. All bids received
after 2:30 PM will be returned unopened and without consideration. Any and
all questions should be directed to the Purchasing Manager at 219-874-4221
ext 267.
Bids must be
submitted to the attention of the Purchasing Manager, at the above address,
on NICTD’s Form DIS-3A, which is available by contacting the Purchasing
Manager. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked
Michigan City Bid. All Bids are to be submitted within an outer envelope.
Successful
bidders will be notified within seven (7) days after bid opening. Successful
bidders will be required to either cash or a check made payable to NICTD for
the full amount of the bid within seven (7) days after being notified.
The District
reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, or to accept the
one, which, in its judgment will be in the best interest of NICTD.
