NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED

DEVELOPMENT STANDARD VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 21st of September, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Nancy L. Roper Revocable Trust, 519 N. 750 W., Hobart, seeking a Development Standard Variances from the following Unified Development Ordinance Sections: 5.04 AS-01: Accessory Structure; General (F) Placement, 5.06 AS-03: Accessory Structure; Residential, 2.12 Rural Residential District Development Standards, all in order to permit an addition of a private riding arena.

The North half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 35 North, Range 7 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in Porter County, Indiana.

And also: Part of the East half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 35 North, Range 7 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said tract and running South 120 rods; thence East 20 rods; thence North 120 rods; thence West 20 rods to the place of beginning, except the North 80 rods thereof.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel located on 519 North 750 West, in Union Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed Variance may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
