NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
PROPOSED VARIANCE
Notice is hereby
given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, on
the 18th day of August, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., will hold a public hearing in
the Porter County Administrative Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205,
Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of John Parks, 330 W. 474 N.,
Valparaiso, seeking Variances from the Unified Development Ordinance:
Section 2.12 RR District Development Standards: Minimum Side Setback -
Accessory Structure - requesting a reduction of a side setback, from 15 feet
to 10 feet; Maximum Structure Height - Accessory Structure - requesting to
exceed the maximum height of an accessory structure from 20 feet to 22’ 8”;
Section 5.06 AS-03; Accessory Structure; Residential, (B) (1) Maximum Floor
Area, to exceed the maximum square footage of all accessory structures from
1300 sq ft to 1928 sq ft, all to build a pole barn, located on the following
described property:
Lot 2 in Union
Minor Subdivision 1029-C-1, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat File
48-C-6 in the Office of the Recorder of Porter County, Indiana.
Written
suggestions to said proposed Variance may be filed with the Executive
Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing
and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the
above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public
view at the Plan Commission office.
