NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED ZONING AMENDMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission of the County of Porter, Indiana will hold a public hearing on the 8th day of September, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana to consider the petition of Randy Westmoreland, The Church of Jesus Christ of Valparaiso, 455 N. 475 W., Valparaiso, Indiana for a proposed amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance to rezone a parcel of land from RR, Rural Residential to IN, Institutional District to build a 5000 square foot church to be located on the following described parcel:

Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 35 North, Range 7 West of the 2nd P.M. in Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the North side of State Road #130, 500 feet East of the point of intersection of the North side of State Road #130 with the West line of said Quarter Quarter Section; thence North and parallel to the West line of said Quarter Quarter Section a distance of 435.5 feet; thence Southeasterly and parallel to the North side of State Road #130 a distance of 200 feet to a point 435.5 feet North of the North side of State Road #130; thence South and parallel to the West line of said Quarter Quarter section a distance of 435.5 feet to a point on the North side of State Road #130, which is 200 feet Southeasterly of the point of beginning; thence Northwesterly 200 feet along the North side of State Road #130 to the point of beginning, containing 2 acres, more or less, all in Porter County, Indiana.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located on the North side of SR 130, East of CR 750 W. and West of CR 625 W. in Union Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto may be heard at the above designated time and place.
