NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby
given that the Chesterton Park and Recreation Board will receive sealed bids
at the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer up to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing
local time) on September 7, 2010 for the Coffee Creek Boardwalk Repair
Project. Bids submitted must include all labor, tools, and equipment
necessary to the construction of the above-referenced project. Any bids
submitted late will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Thereafter, the bids
will be opened publicly and read aloud at a special meeting of the
Chesterton Parks and Recreation Board to be held at 6:00 p.m. on September
7, 2010.
Drawings,
technical specifications, project manual and all bid documents for this
project are on file for review in the Office of the Chesterton
Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. Copies of the
drawings, technical specifications, project manual and all bid documents may
be obtained at the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer upon payment of
the copying costs of $50.00.
Contractors and
subcontractors are required to pay the prevailing wage rate established for
this project in accordance with Indiana law.
All bids must be
submitted on the Town of Chesterton’s Bid Response Form and shall be
accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers or certified check payable to the Town
of Chesterton in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
The Chesterton
Park and Recreation Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids,
waive minor defects in bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
