NOTICE OF BID

Notice is hereby given that the Ogden Dunes Town Council, Porter County, Indiana, 46368, will receive sealed bids at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest Road, Ogden Dunes, Street Resurfacing Projects. Bids are to be received by 12 p.m. on July 19, 2010. Bids received will be opened and read aloud at a meeting of the Ogden Dunes Town Council on July 19, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The exact specifications for the Street Resurfacing Projects are on file at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest Road, Ogden Dunes, Indiana. 46368.

The projects generally consist of placing 410 ton, more or less, of hot asphalt concrete to resurface selected Ogden Dunes streets to a depth of (one and a half) 1.5 overlay. Some butt joints as required, wedge and leveling as required.

All bidders are required to submit a financial statement and a statement of experience, which will include but not to be limited to experience with municipal street paving, a proposed plan or plans for performing the contract to be awarded and the equipment the bidder has available for the performance of the public contract. The statement shall be submitted on forms prescribed by the State Board of Accounts (form 96.)

All bidders shall submit an affidavit with their bid showing that the bidder has not entered into a combination or agreement: (1) relative to the price to be bid by a person; (2) to prevent a person from bidding; (3) to induce a person to refrain from bidding; and that the bidder’s bid is made without reference to any other bid.

Please submit your bids on forms prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts. Please include a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond for a sum equal to ten percent (10%) of your bid (form 96); your financial statement; and the non-collusion affidavit referred to above.

The Town of Ogden Dunes reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive minor irregularities in the bids.

The Street Resurfacing Projects specifications are available for inspection during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday, at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest Road, Ogden Dunes, Indiana, 46368.
