NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT STANDARD VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 20th of July, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Prairie Landings - Phase Two, Valparaiso, seeking a Development Standard Variances from the following Unified Development Ordinance Sections: 7.28 Storm Water Standards, General, (G) Requirements.

GENERAL LOCATION: Description of Property

Part of the NE 1/4 of Section 12, Township 34 North, Range 7 West of the 2nd P.M., in Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said NE 1/4; thence South 89º59’49” East, along the North line of said NE 1/4, 547.46 feet to the Southwesterly right-of-way line of the former Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad; thence South 57º32’49” East, along said Southwesterly right-of-way line, 524.55 feet; to the Northwest corner of Prairie Landing, Phase One, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat File 46-A-5, in the Office of the Recorder, Porter County, Indiana; thence the Following 13 courses along the Westerly and Southerly line of said Prairie Landing, Phase One: South 70º58’12” West, 126.64 feet; thence South 52º27’35” West, 225.34 feet; thence South 01º11’50” East, 87.11 feet; thence South 29º42’02” East, 142.71 feet; thence South 10º15’26” West, 100.42 feet; thence South 15º31’26” West, 100.00 feet; thence South 74º28’34” East, 228.39 feet; thence North 15º31’26” East, 26.58 feet; thence South 74º28’34” East, 140.00 feet; thence North 21º35’39” East, 39.45 feet; thence South 57º32’49” East, 1002.00 feet; thence South 32º27’11” West, 340.00 feet; thence South 57º32’49” East, 60.00 feet; thence South 57º32’49” East, 1050.15 feet to the East line of said NE 1/4; thence South 01º02’30” East, along said East line, 338.51 feet to the South line of said NE 1/4; thence North 89º57’58” West, along said South line, 2650.46 feet to the West line of said NE 1/4; thence North 01º06’49” West, along said West line, 2660.33 feet to the point of beginning, containing 96.415 acres, more or less.

Written suggestions to said proposed Variance may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
