Notice is hereby given that the Town of Chesterton Parks and Recreation Board will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer up to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing local time) on June 29, 2010 for the excavation of an area, including the removal and disposal of thirteen (13) trees and building a base of six (6) inches of compacted aggregate for basketball and tennis courts in Chesterton Park.

The bids must include all labor, tool, and equipment necessary to the construction of the above-referenced project. Any bids submitted late will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Thereafter, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at a meeting of the Town of Chesterton Parks and Recreation Board to be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 29, 2010.

Technical Specifications and all bid documents are on file for review in the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.

All bids shall be submitted on the Town of Chesterton’s Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check or certified check payable to the Town of Chesterton in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.

The Town of Chesterton Parks and Recreation Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor defects in bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
