LEGAL NOTICE
NORTHERN INDIANA
COMMUTER TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAM
GOAL
FOR FEDERAL FISCAL
YEARS 2011 THROUGH 2013
The Northern
Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD), which is a recipient of
United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) funding, is required by
USDOT rules and regulations, as stated in 49 CFR Part 26, to establish and
implement a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. These rules and
regulations also require NICTD to establish a triannual DBE goal for the
award of contracts financed, in part, by USDOT funds.
On May 21 2010,
the NICTD Board of Trustees established, for Federal Fiscal Years 2011
through 2013, a DBE goal of ten percent (10.0 %) of the value of all
contracts funded, in part, with USDOT funds during those fiscal years. NICTD
seeks to meet 100% of this goal through race neutral means. All
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) whose contracts will be counted as
participating in this goal must be certified as a Disadvantaged Business
Enterprise in accordance with USDOT Certification Standards.
This overall goal
and the methodology used to establish this goal are available for inspection
by the general public between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at
NICTD’s offices at 33 E. U. S. Highway 12, Chesterton, IN, until Friday,
June 25, 2010. Comments will be received until Monday, July 19, 2010, and
