NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby
given that the Chesterton Utility Service Board will receive sealed bids at
the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer up to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing
local time) on July 12, 2010 for the Calumet Sewer Separation Project, Phase
II work.
The bids must
include all labor, tool, and equipment necessary to the construction of the
above-referenced project. Any bids submitted late will be returned to the
Bidder unopened. Thereafter, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud
at a special meeting of the Chesterton Utility Service Board to be held at
6:45 p.m. on July 12, 2010.
Drawings,
technical specifications, project manual and all bid documents for this
project are on file for review in the Office of the Chesterton
Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. Copies of the
drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents may be obtained at the
Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer upon payment of copying costs of
$50.00.
Contractors and
subcontractors are required to pay the prevailing wage rate established for
this project in accordance with Indiana law.
All bids shall be
submitted on the Town of Chesterton’s Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a
bid bond, cashiers or certified check payable to the Town of Chesterton in
an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
The Chesterton
Utility Service Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive
minor defects in bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
