You are invited to bid on a General Contract, including a Pre-Engineered timber column maintenance storage facility. Bids shall be on a stipulated sum basis; segregated bids will not be acceptable.

Bids may be mailed or delivered in person to the Administrative Officer for Finance and Operations, Office of Superintendent, Valparaiso Community Schools, 3801 North Campbell Street, Valparaiso, Indiana 46385, prior to July 7, 2011.

Bidders shall submit Design Drawings and any additional information including product literature to verify scope of work with Bid.

By submitting Bid on enclosed Bid Form, Bidder satisfies requirement for Indiana Form No. 96 (Revised 2005), as prescribed by State Board of Accounts of Indiana. This shall clearly show Bidder's financial resources, his construction experience, his organization, and equipment available for Work contemplated.

Successful bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond from an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 100 percent of the full contract sum.

Copies of the Procurement Documents may be obtained from the A/E through Reprographics Arts Inc., 1017 Franklin Street, Michigan City, Indiana 46360, phone 219-872-9111, fax 219-872-9198 in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon depositing the sum of $50.00 for each set of documents. No partial sets will be issued by deposit. Deposits are to be payable to the Owner and shall be sent or delivered to the printer. Any bidder upon returning the documents in good condition immediately following the public opening of the bids, shall be returned the deposit in full.

Each bidder shall be limited to no more than 3 complete sets of Contract Documents under the refundable deposit provisions. Bidders may request additional, complete sets of documents beyond the initial 3 sets for the nonrefundable cost of $50.00 per set.

The estimated cost of the Construction Work is: $60,000.00.

A prebid conference will be held on June 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time, in the Administrative Building. Attendance by bidders is optional, but recommended, in order to clarify or answer questions concerning the Drawings and Project Manual for the Project.

The Owner reserves the right to reject each and every bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.

No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening thereof.

First Advertisement June 15, 2011, second advertisement June 22, 2011.
