NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Chesterton Utility Service Board will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer up to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing local time) on June 28, 2010 for the extension of an existing sanitary sewer approximately 260 feet from a utility easement south of Woodlawn Avenue and east of 8th Street to the ease side of Warren Street.

The bids must include all labor, tool, and equipment necessary to the construction of the above-referenced project. Any bids submitted late will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Thereafter, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at a special meeting of the Town of Chesterton Utility Service Board to be held at 6:00 p.m on June 28, 2010.

Technical Specifications and all bid documents are on file for review in the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.

All bids shall be submitted on the Town of Chesterton’s Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s, or certified check payable to the Town of Chesterton in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.

The Town of Chesterton Utility Service Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor defects in bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
