NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby
given that the Chesterton Town Council will receive sealed bids at the
Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer up to 4:00 p.m. (prevailing local
time) on May 24, 2010 for the construction of a 5ft. sidewalk along the west
side of 5th Street from the Duneland Trails Subdivision north to Manor
Drive. ADA ramps shall be installed at each intersection within the project
area.
The bids must
include all labor, tool, and equipment necessary to the construction of the
above-referenced project. Any bids submitted late will be returned to the
Bidder unopened. Thereafter, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud
at a meeting of the Chesterton Town Council to be held at 7:00 p.m. on May
24, 2010.
Technical
specifications and all bid documents for this project are on file for review
in the Office of the Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton,
Indiana 46304.
All bids shall be
submitted on the Town of Chesterton’s Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a
bid bond, cashiers or certified check payable to the Town of Chesterton in
an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
The Chesterton
Town Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor
defects in bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
