NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE

THE CHESTERTON ADVISORY PLAN

COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that the Chesterton Plan Commission will hold a public hearing at the Chesterton Town Hall, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana, 46304, on the 19 day of May, 19th

2011, and will hear the Petition of Porter County Commissioners, requesting the approval of its Petition for the re-zoning of certain property from R-2 to B-2, located at 600 East Porter Ave., for the following described property in Chesterton, Indiana, to-wit:

A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 36 North, Range 5 West of the Second Principal Meridian, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the North line of said Section 6, with the West line of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 6; thence South 0 degrees 53 minutes 24 seconds East along said West line, 1105.70 feet more or less to its intersection with the Westerly Right of Way line of the State Road #49 Bypass, as presently laid out; thence North 11 degrees 51 minutes 00 seconds East along said Westerly Right of Way

line 80.18 feet; thence North 15 degrees 17 minutes 01 seconds East along said Westerly Right of Way line 50.09 feet; thence North 11 degrees 51 minutes 00 seconds East along said Westerly Right of Way line 800.00 feet; thence North 36 degrees 01 minutes 56 seconds West 192.78 feet; thence North 00 degrees 35 minutes 00 seconds West 40.92 feet to the North line of said Section 6; thence South 89 degrees 25 minutes 00 seconds West along the North line of said Section 6, 97.31 feet to the point of beginning. A copy of said Petition is on file at the Office, Chesterton Clerk Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana, for examination by the public before the public hearing. Written objections to the Petition that are filed with the Chesterton Advisory Plan Commission's Secretary prior to the hearing will be considered. Oral comments concerning the Petition will be heard at the public hearing. The hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary. The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the agenda for the Chesterton Advisory Plan Commission will permit.
