nOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 16th of June 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Connie Bauswell, 2501 Manchester Drive, Valparaiso, seeking a Variance to waive Section 10.33, Subdivision Control, Primary Plat, and Section 10.34, Subdivision Control, Secondary Plat, of the Unified Development Ordinance, to permit construction of a home on 16.659 acres, to be located on the following described property:

A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 36, Township 35 North, Range 6 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in Porter County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4; thence South 00º01’11” West along the West line of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of 629.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South 89º27’04” East parallel with the North line of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4; a distance of 446.45 feet; thence South 00º01’11” West parallel with said West line of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of 53.26 feet; thence South 89º27’04” East parallel with said North line of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of 877.93 feet to the East line of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4: thence south 00º00’27” East along said East line, a distance of 644.33 feet to the Southeast corner of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4; thence North 89º37’00” West along the South line of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of 1324.66 feet to the Southwest corner of said NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4; thence North 00º01’11” East along said West line of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of 701.41 feet to the Point of Beginning. Contains 20.19 acres, more or less. 64-09-36-100-001-000-003

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located at 2353 Smoke Road, in Center Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to proposed Variance(s) may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
