COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS
Multi Functional
Peripheral Equipment
(Copiers)
The Northern
Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) is seeking sealed
competitive proposals from qualified manufacturers/suppliers for the
purchase of Multi Functional Peripheral Equipment for its operations in
Porter and LaPorte Counties, Indiana. All competitive proposals must meet
NICTD’s specifications as further described in the Technical Specifications
of the Competitive Proposal Packet.
A Pre-Proposal
meeting will be held to discuss the equipment in further detail and to
answer any questions that the supplier may have at 10:00 a.m., local time,
Friday, May 28, 2010 at 601 N Roeske Avenue, Michigan City, IN 46360.
A copy of the
Competitive Proposal Form Packet, including the specifications is available
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time, at the following

Competitive
Proposal Packets are to be requested by either fax or email. Your request
should include the company name, address, phone/fax numbers, email address,
the individual’s name to respond to and either a Federal Express or UPS
account number that can be utilized for shipping and billing purposes.
Information regarding this Competitive Proposal, including the results, can
be found at NICTD.com. (Go to Info, then Purchasing)
Competitive
Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked: “MFP-Copier”.
All competitive proposals are to be submitted within an outer envelope.
Proposals shall be submitted on forms contained in the proposal package.
Competitive proposals are to be submitted in triplicate.

Competitive
proposals will be received not later than 2:30 p.m., local time, Friday,
June 25, 2010, at which time they will be opened. Competitive proposals
received after the above stated time and date will be returned to the sender
unopened. Competitive proposals must set forth full, accurate and complete
information as required by the instructions in the Competitive Proposal
Packet. Failure to do so may result in rejection of a competitive proposal.
NICTD’s overall
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is ten percent
(10) of the competitive proposal price. Proposers are required to make good
faith commitments to meet or exceed the District’s goal.
NICTD will award
the Contract(s) to the lowest responsive and responsible Proposer. NICTD
reserves the right to reject any and all competitive proposals and waive
technical defects if, in its judgment, the interests of NICTD so require.
NICTD reserves the right to accept any competitive proposal within 60 days
after the time of the opening of the competitive proposal, during which time
no proposal shall be withdrawn.
