NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 19th of May, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Paul & Mary Ellen Tilden, c/o Brian Laffoon – Eric Goetz Master Builder, 17609 State Line Rd., Lowell, seeking a Variance from Section 2.12 RR District Development Standards, Maximum Structure Height, Accessory Structure: 20 feet, to construct an accessory structure that is 23 feet to the peak and 26 feet to the top of the cupola to be located at 540 E. 700 N., to be located on the following described property:

Part of the East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 35, Township 36 north, Range 5 West of the Second Principal Meridian, Porter County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the North 1/4 corner of said Section 35; thence North 87 degrees 13 minutes 20 seconds West along the North line of said Section 35, 498.06 feet to the true POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing North 87 degrees 13 minutes 20 seconds West along said North line, 166.07 feet to the Northwest corner of said East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 35; thence South 00 degrees 16 minutes 54 seconds West along the West line of the East 1/2 of said northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, 1321.61 feet to the South line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4; thence South 87 degrees 16 minutes 21 seconds East along said South line 165.01 feet; thence North 00 degrees 15 minutes 34 seconds East, 1321.19 feet to the true POINT OF BEGINNING.

Subject to all existing taxes, easements and restrictions of record.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located at 540 E. 700 N., in Jackson Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed Variance(s) may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
