NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED USE VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 17th day of March, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Mike Krischke/BIGASCO LLC, c/o William Ferngren, Ferngren Law Offices, LLC, 570 Vale Park Rd., Ste. B, Valparaiso, seeking a Use Variance from the Unified Development Ordinance, Section 2.11 RR District Intent & Permitted Uses, for construction of a lake more than 3 acres in size, to be located on the following described parcel of land:

That part of the West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 24, Township 35 North, Range 7 West of the 2nd P.M., lying South of a line which is 1839.0 feet North of the Southwest corner of said tract and parallel to the North line thereof, EXCEPTING therefrom the South 10 acres, containing, less said exception, 45.7 acres, more or less, subject to all legal highways.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land on the East side of CR 600 W., approximately 1/2 miles South of U.S. Hwy. 30, in Union Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed Use Variance may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
