Twin Creeks Conservancy District

Maintenance Project along Squirrel Creek

Sealed bids for the maintenance project along Squirrel Creek north of US 6 will be received at the office of DLZ Indiana, LLC, 7011 Indianapolis Boulevard, Hammond, Indiana, 46324, until 3:00 PM, local prevailing time, on January 24, 2011. The bids will be opened and read aloud at the Twin Creeks Conservancy District Board meeting at 7:00 PM, local prevailing time that same day at the South Haven Public Library at 403 West 700N, Valparaiso, Indiana, 46385.

The project consists of the removal of numerous log jams along the creek as well as associated clearing and disposal of debris collected along the creek.

One set of Project Documents may be OBTAINED ONLY on or after January 10, 2011 at the offices of DLZ, Indiana, LLC at 7011 Indianapolis Blvd., Hammond, IN 46324.

A mandatory on-site pre-bid meeting will be held on January 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM, local prevailing time. Representatives from the Conservancy District and prospective contractors will meet at the intersection of US 6 and Governor Road. At this meeting, the project limits will be walked and scope of work will be discussed.

Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided in the Project Documents, and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96.

The successful Bidder will be required to provide both a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount, execute an agreement provided by the Conservancy District, and provide evidence of insurance suitable to the Conservancy District. Bidders must be experienced in ditch maintenance of this type.

In determining the lowest responsible bidder, the Conservancy District will consider the Total Base Bid made for the Contract. The Conservancy District may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents or which the Owner may legally consider. The Conservancy District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, should the Conservancy District deem it to be in the public interest.

This notice is authorized and published by the authority of the Twin Creeks Conservancy District, Indiana acting by and through its Board of Directors.
