NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
PROPOSED SPECIAL
EXCEPTION
Notice is hereby
given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana,
will hold a public hearing on the 17th day of February, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.,
at the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Valparaiso,
Indiana, to consider the petition of Chicago SMSA LP dba Verizon Wireless,
c/o Stu Harrison, Sr., Harrison Realty Consultants LTD., 42 W. Spruce St.,
Canton, Il, seeking a Special Exception under the Unified Development
Ordinance, Section 10.02 Telecommunications Facility Review: Special
Exceptions, to construct a 199-foot tall monopole telecommunications tower,
with accompanying equipment, in an I-2, General Industrial District, to be
located on the following described parcel of land:
All that part of
the Northeast 1/4 of Section 22, Township 35 North, Range 6 West of the
Second Principal Meridian, Porter County, Indiana, lying North of the
right-of-way of the Pittsburgh Ft. Wayne and Chicago Railroad, and South of
the South right-of-way line of State Road No. 130, as now constructed.
EXCEPTING
THEREFROM: A parcel of land in the North 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section
22, Township 35 North, Range 6 West of the Second Principal Meridian, Porter
County, Indiana, lying between State Road No. 130, and the Pittsburgh, Ft.
Wayne and Chicago Railroad, and being more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the
intersection of the North line of said Section 22, and the Northerly
right-of-way line of said railroad, and running thence East along said North
line of Section, a distance of 906.85 feet, more or less, to the Southerly
right of way of State Road No. 130; thence Southeasterly along said
Southerly right-of-way line, a distance of 211.23 feet, more or less, to an
iron pipe; thence Southwesterly, a distance of 491.75 feet, more or less, to
an iron pipe on the Northerly right-of-way line of said railroad, which is
748.43 feet East of the Point of Commencement; thence Northwesterly, a
distance of 748.43 feet along said Northerly right-of-way line to the Point
of Commencement.
GENERAL LOCATION:
A parcel of land located at 2155 W. Lincolnway, in Center Township, Porter
County, Indiana.
Written
suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the
Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public
hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above
designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view
at the Plan Commission office.
