NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED USE VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 17th day of February, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Patricia Irwin, 607 Driftwood St., Lowell, seeking a Use Variance from Section 2.11 of the Unified Development Ordinance, RR District Intent and Permitted Uses, to operate Rosehill Adult Care Inc., an adult residential care home for up to four people; to be located on the following described parcel of land:

A part of the Northeast 1/4, Section 10, Township 35 North, Range 5 West of the Second Principal Meridian, Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the center of Section 10; thence South 89º32’21” East, along the East-West centerline of Section 10, 107.45 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 00º45’08” East, 208.00 feet; thence South 89º32’21” East, 238.72 feet to the centerline of CR 450 E.; thence South 00º08’29” West, along said centerline, 133.07 feet; thence South 01º50’13” West, along said centerline, 74.96 feet, to the East-West centerline of Section 10; thence North 89º32’21” West, 238.72 feet to the Point of Beginning; Now known as Lot 4 in Washington Minor Sub, 2629-C-1.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land at 450 N. 450 E., in Washington Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
