NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Porter County Municipal Airport Authority will receive sealed bids with return address thereon, until 8:00 AM , local time, on Tuesday , the 21st day of December, 20 10 for cash rent of approximately two hundred sixty-one and four tenths (261.4) acres of farm land located on the Porter County Municipal Airport for farming purposes. Actual acreage to be determined after survey by USDA FSA office. Approximately nineteen (19) acres located north of the intersection of runways will be restricted to low crops approved by airport management.

A meeting of the Board of Aviation, Porter County Municipal Airport Authority, will be held at 8:00 AM, local time, Tuesday, the 21st day of December, 20 10 at the Porter County Municipal Airport; 4101 Murvihill Road, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383, to open bids and award contract.

The successful bidder will receive a three (3) year lease for the above acres, beginning on the first day of March, 2011 and terminating on the 28th day of February 2014. The acreage is subject to change due to the development of the Airport.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish twenty (20%) percent of the rent upon signing

of the contract on the 1st day of March, 2011; twenty (20%) percent on the first day of July and sixty (60%) percent on the 1st day of December of each year of the lease.

The successful bidder shall comply with any and all applicable state and federal regulations on their activity. The proposal shall be properly executed on forms furnished to the bidders and

must be accompanied with a non-collusion affidavit. Bidders shall also accompany their bids

with a certified check, bank draft, or a satisfactory bond executed by the bidder and a surety

company in the amount of three hundred ($300.00) dollars for each bid submitted.

Bid forms and information regarding the area to be farmed are available at the Airport Director’s

Office at the Porter County Municipal Airport, 4101 Murvihill Road, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.

The Porter County Municipal Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
