NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED

DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commis-

sion of the County of Porter, Indiana will hold a

public hearing on Monday the 21st day of No-

vember, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County

Administrative Center, 155 Indiana Ave., Suite

205, Valparaiso, Indiana for an amendment to

Ordinance No. 07-05, Porter County Unified

Development Ordinance, Chapter 7: Storm Wa-

ter Standards; Section 7.28 and the Stormwater

Design Manual being Resolution 08-05.

Storm Water Design Manual, Plan Commission

Resolution 08-05 adopted March 12, 2008 shall

be amended. The amendment shall be Section

III, Storm Water Management Plan Submittal

Requirements creating Section IIIa, Storm Wa-

ter Management Plan submittal Requirements

(Major Subdivisions and New Site Develop-

ments); Section IIIb, Storm Water Management

Plan submittal Requirements (Minor Subdivi-

sions); Section IIIc, Storm Water Management

Plan submittal Requirements (Site Expansions).

Said amendments shall apply to all develop-

ment and subdivision applications in the unin-

corporated areas of Porter County.

A copy of the proposed amendment to the Uni-

fied Development Ordinance, Storm Water

Manual (Resolution 08-05) is available for pub-

lic inspection at the Porter County Plan Com-

mission’s office. Written suggestion to said pro-

posed amendment to the Unified Development

Ordinance may be filed with the Executive Di-

rector of the Porter County Plan Commission

before such public hearing and/or verbal state-

ments relating thereto will be heard at the

above designated time and place.
