NOTICE OF
DETERMINATION TO ISSUE BONDS OF THE DAMON RUN CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
Taxpayers of the
Damon Run Conservancy District ("District") are notified that the Board of
Directors did, on September 29, 2010, adopt a resolution authorizing the
issuance of bonds of the District in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for
the purpose of providing funds for the cost of undertaking the expansion of
the District, including pipe relocation and the purchase of capacity from
the City of Portage, Indiana, together with necessary appurtenances, related
improvements and equipment ("Project") and to pay the costs of issuance of
such bonds.
The bonds are to
bear interest at a rate or rates not to exceed 8% per annum (the exact rate
or rates to be determined by bidding) and are to mature semiannually on
January 1 and July 1 of
each year over a
period not to exceed twenty years, and are to be payable from property taxes
levied and collected on all taxable real property in the District and, once
the Project is revenue producing, to the extent available from net revenues
of the Project.
