NOTICE OF A HEARING ON PROPOSED RATES AND CHARGES

Property owners and other interested parties of the Indian Boundary Conservancy District are hereby notified that Ordinance No. 10-01, amending the established rates and charges for services to be collected by the Indian Boundary Conservancy District, was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on September 14, 2010. At a meeting of the Board of Directors to be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 26, 2010, at the Brummitt School on Indian Boundary Road in Westchester Township, Porter County, Indiana, there will be a public hearing on the matter of amending the rates and charges, and consideration of adoption of said Ordinance 10-01, which provides in part as follows:

Section 1.

(a) All Class I Users

The sewage rates and charges for the residential class of users shall be determined by equivalent single family dwelling units. Sewage service bills shall be rendered once each month (or a period equaling one month). The schedule on which said rates and charges shall be determined is as follows:

Section 3.

(a) Customer billing shall occur on a quarterly basis. Customer bills shall be due and payable on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31 of each calendar year.

Customers paying the entire annual user charge by January 31, shall be entitled to a discount equivalent to one monthly user charge.

At such hearing and prior to final adoption of said Ordinance, all interested parties may appear and be heard. A copy of Ordinance 10-01 may be examined at the offices of the attorneys of the Conservancy District, BLACHLY TABOR BOZIK & HARTMAN, 56 South Washington Street, Suite 401, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.
