Indiana House Democrats assigned to interim study committees

The following Indiana House Democrats representing Northwest Indiana have been assigned to interim study committees.

Duneland State Rep. Pat Boy (D-Michigan City) will serve on the Code Revision Commission, the Interim Study Committee on Elections, and the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations.

Duneland State Rep. Chuck Moseley (D-Portage) will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Elections, the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor, and the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.

Outside Duneland

State Rep. Lisa Beck (D-Lakes of the Four Woods) will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Corrections and Criminal Code, the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor, the Interim Study Committee on Government, and the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.

State Rep. Mara Candlearia Reardon (D-Munster) will serve on the Legislative Council, the council’s Space Utilization Subcommittee, the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications, the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation, and the Transborder Water Resources Authority.

State Rep. Chris Chyung (D-Dyer) will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance and the Interim Study Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs.

State Rep. Earl Harris, Jr. (D-East Chicago) will serve on the Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs and the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.

State Rep. Ragen Hatcher (D-Gary) will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development, the Interim Study Committee on Corrections and Criminal Code, the County Jail Overcrowding Task Force, and the Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary.

State Rep. Carolyn B. Jackson (D-Hammond) will serve on the Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled Board, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission, the Interim Study Committee on Environmental Affairs, and the Lake Michigan Marina and Shoreline Development Commission.

State Rep. Vernon G. Smith (D-Gary) will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Education, the Commission on the Social status of Black Males, and the County Redistricting Commission.
