INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Newly elected U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly will serve on the
Senate’s agriculture and military panels.
Donnelly announced Wednesday he will serve on the Agriculture and Armed
Service committees in addition to the Senate Aging Committee. He says the
assignments will help him “serve the diverse needs of Hoosiers.”
Donnelly beat Republican Richard Mourdock last month for the seat U.S. Sen.
Richard Lugar held for the last 36 years. Donnelly is finishing up his third
term in the House, where he served on the Veterans’ Affairs and Financial
Services committees while representing northern Indiana.
