Josh Williams Eagle project to benefit Westchester Bird Sanctuary

Back To Front Page

In his efforts to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Joshua Williams, of Scout Troop 908, will build and install a series of habitats for bluebirds, bats, and butterflies at the Westchester Migratory Bird Sanctuary.

This is a project that will advance the environmental improvement of the 39 acre area located directly west of 11th Street and Westchester Intermediate School.

The Porter County Parks Foundation, a sponsor of this Bird Sanctuary, is honored and grateful to Josh and the Boy Scouts of America for this service.

Williams’ parents are Scott and Shelley Williams. He is a senior at Chesterton High School and plans to attend Indiana University to earn a degree in Accounting. Williams hopes to return many times to his hometown and see the progress of the work at the Bird Sanctuary.
