DNR seeks public input on proposed hunting season for bobcats

The Natural Resources Commission’s Division of Hearings has scheduled two hearings to receive public comment on a package of proposed rule changes that includes wild turkey hunting, nuisance wild animals, and a proposed new bobcat hunting & trapping season.

The first hearing: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Spring Mill Inn, Lakeview Room, at Spring Mill State Park.

The second: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Mounds State Park, Pavilion.

Public comments can be submitted online at nrc.IN.gov/2377.htm

Look for the “Comment on this Rule” link in the Rules Docket for the Wildlife Rule Amendments.

Comments also can be mailed to the Natural Resources Commission, Indiana Government Center South, 100 North Senate Ave., Room N103, Indianapolis, IN 46204

The deadline for submitting public comments is midnight March 23.
