The Michigan City City Council unanimously voted at its meeting Tuesday night to approve a resolution urging NPS to keep Chellberg Farm open to the public and to return the farm animals removed earlier this year, the News Dispatch reported on Wednesday.

“It’s a great place for field trips,” the Dispatch quoted Member Pat Boy, the resolution’s sponsor. “Probably thousands of children have visited it and learned about the 19th century.”
