Incumbents and Bozak win in Burns Harbor

In the vote-for-five at-large race in the Burns Harbor municipal election, all four incumbents on the ballot won easily, joined by a challenger.

Vote totals for the incumbents: Nicholas Loving, 170 (19 percent); Toni Biancardi, 153 (17 percent); Raymond “Ray” Poparad, 139 (15 percent); and Eric Hull, 136 (15 percent).

Challenger Roseann Bozak took 154 votes (17 percent) to win the open seat currently held by Kevin Tracy, who opted not to run for re-election.

There were two other challengers: James P. McGee took 76 votes (8 percent); and Walter “Wally” Macchiarella, 71 votes (8 percent).

Running unopposed was incumbent Clerk-Treasurer Jane M. Jordan (Democrat), who took 198 votes.
