Three Chesterton
High School seniors are among the nation’s 16,000 Semifinalists announced in
the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) competition. These
students have completed the first step in the competition for some 7,600
Merit Scholarships, worth more than $33 million, to be offered next spring.
Based on selection
index scores on the 2013 PSAT/NMSQT, the CHS students cited in the 60th
annual competition are Abigail Burke, Alisha Dziarski and David Eggers.
Burke is the
daughter of Sean and Linda Burke of Chesterton; Dziarski is the daughter of
Dipika Gupta and Roman Dziarski of Chesterton; and Eggers is the son of Dave
and Mary Eggers of Westville. Both Burke and Dziarski are undecided as to
the school each will attend. Eggers plans to attend Indiana University.
Their fields of study are undecided.
