The Duneland School
Board will meet Monday at the Duneland Schools Administrative Center, 601 W.
Morgan Ave. in Chesterton.
The meeting will
start at 5 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.
The board will take
a vote on the extension of Superintendent of Schools David Pruis’ contract
to June 30, 2018. The salary and benefits are the same as the current
contract.
A public hearing
took place at the board’s previous meeting on July 13. The hearing is now
closed, and the board will put the new contract to a vote.
Also on the agenda,
under new business, is approval of administrative contracts for this year.
New business items can be commented on by the public during patron
participation, which comes before the board discusses those items.
Duneland Chief
Financial Officer Lynn Kwilasz will present to the board Duneland’s
Financial Report for the 2014 calendar year.
A copy of report
can be found on the schools’ website administrative page under BoardDocs. It
will also be printed in Monday’s Chesterton Tribune.
For new business,
the board will discuss classified staff adjustments and approval of school
lunch prices and a cooperative bid for refuse collection.
It will also hear
from Director of Support Services Greg Lindy an update on summer facility
projects.
Pruis will make
comments on recent events within the school district. The board will also
approve a consent agenda containing the monthly personnel report.
