The Chesterton Middle School Math team won the Grand Championship Prize at the Lake-Porter County Middle School conference math contest this past Wednesday at Fegely Middle School.

The CMS team also includes the sixth grade math teams from Westchester and Liberty Interme-diate Schools.

Chesterton grade level team results were sixth grade, second place; seventh grade, first; and eighth grade, second.

As the CMS team they were the overall grand champions.

Individual results were Sixth grade: Josh DeVries, 2nd place; Chris Maatouk, 3rd and Ben Moy, 4th.

Seventh grade: Joe Pejril, 1st; Amanda Erxleben, 2nd; Joe Helminski, 3rd; Mae Bass and David Rowe, 4th and Andrew Kearney, 5th.

Eighth grade: Lindsay Gorman and Austin Johnson, 1st; Randi Hickman, 4th; Matt Borowiak, 5th.

Lake-Porter Academic Conference Schools participating were Willowcreek, Fegely, Chesterton, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Hammond Clark.
