Another student at Chesterton High School has tested positive for COVID-19, the Duneland School Corporation (DSC) announced on Sunday.

The student--in the A-K cohort--has not been in school since Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The administration, in consultation with the Porter County Health Department, has conducted contact tracing. All individuals who were in close contact (within six feet for 15 minutes or longer) have been notified directly.

“Please be aware that privacy laws, including HIPAA and FERPA, prevent us from sharing further information regarding students and staff,” DSC said.

The CHS building was deep-cleaned and sanitized on Sunday evening.
