Another student at
Chesterton High School has tested positive for COVID-19, the Duneland School
Corporation (DSC) announced on Sunday.
The student--in the
A-K cohort--has not been in school since Wednesday, Sept. 9.
in consultation with the Porter County Health Department, has conducted
contact tracing. All individuals who were in close contact (within six feet
for 15 minutes or longer) have been notified directly.
“Please be aware
that privacy laws, including HIPAA and FERPA, prevent us from sharing
further information regarding students and staff,” DSC said.
The CHS building
was deep-cleaned and sanitized on Sunday evening.
