Back To Front Page

Northern Indiana’s entire 156-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 20 has officially been designated the Medal of Honor Memorial Highway, by act of the General Assembly.

At a ceremony at 1 p.m. (ET) Friday at the Steuben County Courthouse in Angola, a sign to that effect will be unveiled and dedicated by federal, state, and local officials, joined by Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs Director Dennis Wimer.

State Rep. Denny Zent introduced a resolution so designating U.S. 20 during the 2020 legislative session, and that resolution was unanimously adopted by both the State House and the Senate. The resolution makes Indiana the sixth state to name U.S. 20 in honor of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
