Statewide: 62 additional C19 deaths since Monday

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 62 new COVID-19 deaths over the last 24 hours, to bring the statewide total to 1,213, up from 1,151 on Monday, an increase of 5.4 percent.

The number of probable COVID-19 deaths remained unchanged from Monday: 113. Probable deaths are those for which x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms all point to COVID-19 but for which no positive test is on record. Total confirmed and probable COVID-19 deaths Indiana: 1,326.

ISDH was also reporting 541 new cases of COVID-19 since Monday, to bring total confirmed cases to 21,033, up from 20,507, an increase of 2.6 percent over the last 24 hours.

Nursing home cases and deaths to date: 2,316 cases, 420 deaths (unchaged from Monday).

Number of nursing home facilities in the state with at least one case of COVID-19: 173.

Number with at least one death: 105.

Meanwhile, 115,834 tests have been reported to date to ISDH, up from 113,297 on Monday, an increase of 2.3 percent over the last 24 hours, with a positive rate of 18.2 percent. Tests are being conducted by ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and private laboratories.

Tests in Porter County: 2,028 (1,986 on Monday).

In Lake County: 10,141 (9,871).

In LaPorte County: 1,582 (1,517).

Porter County's 13.1-percent positive rate compares with Lake’s (21.3 percent), LaPorte’s (16.9), and the state's (18.2 percent).

Marion County has the most reported cases, 6,419 (6,327 on Monday); and the most deaths, 374 (363).

Lake County has reported 2,161 cases (2,098) and 103 deaths (97), the second highest in the state in both categories.

LaPorte County has reported 268 cases and eight deaths (254 and eight).
