Statewide: 224 new cases

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 264 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours (440 new cases on Tuesday), to bring total cases so far to 41,013, up from 40,786 on Tuesday.

ISDH was also reporting 29 additional deaths over the last 24 hours (14 additional deaths on Tuesday), to bring total deaths so far to 2,476, up from 2,447.

Nursing home cases and deaths to date: 4,942 cases and 1,082 deaths (unchanged from Tuesday).

Marion County has the most reported cases, 10,862 (10,834); and the most deaths, 657 (654). Lake County has reported 4,222 cases (4,211) and 231 deaths (230), the second highest in the state in both categories. LaPorte County has reported 473 cases and 25 deaths (471 and 24).

The total COVID-19 death count includes both confirmed and presumptive deaths to date. Presumptive deaths are those for which x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms all point to COVID-19 but for which no positive test is on record. A total of 186 presumptive deaths was reported today, up from 182 on Tuesday.
