Porter County Parks
& Recreation would like to invite visitors to the Prairie Magic Music
Festival on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 1 p.m.
The Prairie Magic
Music Fest is a celebration of rock, blues, folk and Americana music set
right in the heart of beautiful Sunset Hill Farm County Park, just minutes
from the expressway.
features a dynamite line up including local acts The Planetary Blues Band,
The Crawpuppies, Foster Ross & Young, and the Blues Project, as well as
Chicago favorites the Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra.
The festival will
also highlight craft food and beer vendors. Valpo Velvet Ice Cream and
Bartlett’s Gourmet Grill will be satisfying hunger while a beer garden will
make local microbrews available to those 21 and over. Water will be
available on site at no cost, but coolers and outside food and beverages are
Proceeds from this
event benefit the Porter County Parks Foundation and the Blues Project -- an
initiative to bring blues music into Valparaiso schools. With this festival,
the community can take advantage of the performance space at the
Amphitheater in Sunset Hill Farm County Park.
