Porter United Methodist Church selling Butter Braid pastries

Back To Front Page

This is the fourth year that Porter United Methodist Church will sell Butter Braids to help with church missions. For those who have had the chance to experience a Butter Braid pastry, itís evident why this fundraiser stands apart from the rest. Butter Braids are made with tender sweet dough that is hand-braided around mouthwatering fillings such as cinnamon, cream cheese, and a variety of fruit fillings, including a chocolate braid with chocolate filling. These delicious pastries would be perfect for serving at your Easter brunch or dinner. The pastries come frozen, allowing consumers to store until ready to prepare. Just set out to thaw and rise, then bake for an unforgettable experience.

The sale will begin on Sunday, February 4, and will continue until the deadline of Sunday, March 4. All orders and money must be turned in to the church office no later than Monday, March 5, at 9 a.m.

The braids weigh 22 oz. each and sell for $14 each, except the Double Chocolate pastry and the 4-cheese & herb bread, which sell for $15 each. Delivery date is set for Friday, March 16, at 9 a.m.

Orders can be placed with any member of the church, or by contacting coordinator Judy Reales at (219) 926-3171 or (219) 929-7155 during the sale dates. Orders can also be placed through the church office by calling (219) 926-1586, Monday -- Thursday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Butter Braid brand products have been in the fundraising industry for over 20 years with the mission of helping non-profit groups raise money for worthy causes.

Porter UMC is using the funds from the sale to help support the church ministry and work of Jesus Christ throughout the church and the community, so any support is very much needed and appreciated.
