The ever popular Touch A Truckís annual event is this Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sunset Hill Farm Park, at 775 Meridian Road, in Liberty Township.

Children will get a chance to get behind the wheel of more than 70 vehicles and rub elbows with their hometown heroes. There will be monster trucks, fire trucks, police cars, garbage truck, limousine, helicopter and much more.

The cost of admission is $20.00 cash per car load and includes access to all vehicles, a foam field, tiny tot riding experience, wagon rides, and transportation themed bounce house. The first 100 kids in the gate will receive a free pair of goggles provided by Waterway Pool and Spa and a die cast car. There will be food available for purchase during the event.

One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Parents as Teachers of Porter County and will go to provide educational programming for children 3-5.

Touch A Truck would like to thank the sponsors for their generosity. Without these sponsors this event would not be possible. Porter County Parks and Recreation - Sunset Hill Farm, Moore and Portelli - Foam Field Sponsor, Bounce House Sponsor - Bounce n Around, Wagon Ride Sponsor - NHIPA and Tiny Tot Riding Experience Sponsor, Abate Region 2. We would also like to thank Paul Shafer Motorsports, Little Caesars Pizza, Coastal Valley Water, Datagraphic, Kona Ice, RMR Roy Mitchell Racing and Valís Famous Pizza and Grinders.

Touch a Truck helps jump start the Parents as Teachers of Porter County's Ready, Set, Kindergarten programs. These classes give children access to preschool who otherwise might not be able to attend.
