Empty Bowl Project to support Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry

Back To Front Page

The public is invited to attend the Empty Bowl Project Chesterton lunch event on Sunday, October 13, at the new (219) Tap Room, 103 South Third Street, Chesterton, to raise funds for the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry.

For a donation of $20 guests can choose a delicious soup provided by local restaurants and a custom bowl created by local ceramic artists -- and take home the bowl after lunch.

A $10 donation is suggested for those that just want to have a soup luncheon and do not wish to take home a bowl. Beverages and desserts will be available for purchase with proceeds also benefiting the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry.

The family-friendly event runs from noon to 3:00 p.m., but ticket times are staggered to avoid waiting lines. Tickets can be purchased in advance at The Good Earth Pots, 500 Broadway, Chesterton or at

Please join in to help our neighbors, sample food from the best local restaurants, and appreciate the work of local ceramic artists.

Event sponsors include The Good Earth Pots, (219) Taproom, Chase Bank, Beale Pottery, Pisowicz Pottery, The Red Cup Cafe, Sunrise Family Restaurant, Tiger Lily, Culver’s, and Uptown Cafe.
