Discovery Trackers 4H Club begins fifth year

Back To Front Page

The Discovery Trackers 4-H Club of Porter County kicked off their fifth year this past weekend with a family trip to Indiana Beach in Monticello, Ind. Fifteen of the 55 members and their families spent the day riding amusement and water park rides. Eleven Trackers then stayed overnight and camped in tents near the park. “I had a blast!” said Tracker Zoey Gasaway.

The Trackers had such a good time, they plan to do a camping adventure again next summer.

“It is a great way for the kids to relax after all their hard work during their 4-H showings at the Porter County Fair in July. I’m so proud of all they accomplished this year!” said their adult leader, Mrs. Hansen.

The Discovery Trackers will be holding their monthly meetings in the evening this year on the 1st Tuesday of the month (Sept.-Dec.) from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Library Service Center in Chesterton. 4-H builds leadership, character and is a whole lot of fun!

For more information about joining the Trackers 4-H Club, contact Mrs. Hansen at 219-241-7431.
