The Duneland
Chamber of Commerce is calling the annual Fireworks on the Lakefront
extravaganza on Thursday night a success--if at times a damp one.
“We got wet--a
couple times (which we anticipated, at least the first one)--but the more
important thing is that we communicated and made it happen,” Chamber
President Maura Durham said in an e-mail to the event’s partners.”
“This is nothing
short of one of the biggest joint efforts our communities are part of, one
for all and all for one,” Durham added. “I am amazed at the work you all do
to make our community the best place to live, work, and play. And moreover
thankful to have had the chance to work with each and every one of you to do
our part for this amazing community.”
Durham noted that
she’s already looking forward to the event’s 10th anniversary in 2018.
