Bethlehem Lutheran welcomes new pastor

On Sunday, August 3, Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church welcomed a new pastor, Pastor Erik Grayvold.

Pastor Erik was reared in the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan.

After graduating from the Wartburg Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in Divinity, he was ordained on July 25, 2014, at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He will be officially installed at Bethlehem later this month.

From 2012 to 2013, Pastor Erik volunteered and participated in a program, "Young Adults in a Global Mission," sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. He lived in Palestine during this time where he instructed English and ministered to the youth while he lived there.

Everyone is invited to meet and greet the new Pastor and participate in worship service during the summer schedule on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. A social hour will follow.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church is at 2050 West 1100 North, Chesterton.
