The University of Evansville has announced the first recipient of the Mandy
Ruoff Executive Producer for AcesTV, a position credited to honor the
Chesterton High School graduate who passed away in October during her senior
year at UE.
Sophomore Braden
Pretzsch was named to the position for AcesTV, the video streaming component
of the UE athletics department. Ruoff was a member of the AcesTV staff.
“We are
tremendously honored to be able to name Braden as the first Mandy Ruoff
Executive Producer for AcesTV,”said Tom Benson, director of the AcesTV
program. “Braden shares the same love for the program which Mandy did, and
he will honor her and the program with the same type of work ethic and
attention to detail which Mandy exhibited on a daily basis with AcesTV.”
“Mandy’s love of
communication and sports were brought together with AcesTV,” Pretzsch said.
“As a sophomore, it is my ambition to help build a great sports production
program of which Mandy would have been proud to be a member.”
Pretzsch is a
communications and business double-major from Yorktown, Ind. He will be in
charge of scheduling for the AcesTV student staff and will help the program
grow through the use of new technology and ideas for sports coverage.
The Mandy Ruoff
Executive Producer for AcesTV position will now be a standard position with
the AcesTV program, honoring the student who best embodies the same work
ethic and love for the AcesTV program that Ruoff possessed as a member of
the AcesTV staff.
