The Chesterton High School Class of 1950 met Nov. 2 for a class reunion at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chesterton.

Place cards and photos of the school as it appeared in 1950 were designed and donated by Barbara and Jim Rosetti. Fall flower decorations were donated by Shirley Sharpe.

A time of solemn remembrance was conducted for deceased classmates and prayers were given for those who are ill and those unable to attend. Alumni were happily entertained with song and laughter by local musicians, Granny and the Rat.

Attendees included Bill Fornshell, Joyce Knoblock Kohler, Bob and Judith Loper, Margaret Maney Rhoda, Doris Maney Stout, Ron and Joanne Martinson, Bill and Nancy Miller, Norbert and Adrienne Milzarek, Ralph and Ruth Mitchell, Karl and Fran Nallenweg, Don Peters, Giny Wilson Reling and Ben Reling, Barbara Foster Rosetti and Jim Rosetti, Marge Schrader Foster and Fay Foster, Shirley Tavernier Sharpe, Bruce and Joanne Smith, Earl and Janice Studtmann, Kent Stumpf, Barbara Brandt Williams, Dorothy Weidman Meyers and James Olson.

Classmates were especially saddened by the sudden passing on Oct. 30 of Alice Kipper, wife of John Kipper. The couple had planned to attend the reunion.
