A 60th reunion of the Chesterton High School Class of 1950 was held at
Hooligan’s Restaurant in Chesterton on May 21, with dessert at the nearby
home of Adrienne and Norbert Milzarek.
The following attended: Ronald Cooper from Mississippi, Bill Fornshell,
Carla and Joe Callahan, Bob Loper, Ron and Joanne Martinson, Doris Maney
Stout, Margaret Maney Rhoda, Bill and Nancy Miller, Norbert and Adirenne
Milzarek, Don Peters, Manson and Nancy Polley from Washington, Jack Ruhe,

Shirley Tavernier Sharpe, Dorothy Weidman Meyers, James Olson and Nancy Wood

After dinner, the alumni were pleasantly surprised with the appearance of
Debby Moultin, a professional songstress and daugher of classmate Doris
Maney Stout. Debby appeared in a CHS band uniform trumpeting the Chesterton
fight song. She also led the 1950 class song of “Red Sails in the Sunset,”
and serenaded her mother with “You Are My Sunshine.”
A time of silence was held in memory of many classmates who have passed
away.
It was a memorable afternoon with special joy at the arrival of may far-away
classmates.
