Chesterton High School Class of 1958 celebrated a 65th birthday party
recently hosted by Paul and Janet Wallin at their Sun City West, Arizona
home, assisted by Kathy Miller of Crown Point.
There were 19 classmates in attendance along with spouses and friends,
making a total of 30. Special guests were Loren Betz, former band teacher
and assistant principal at CHS, and his wife, who now reside in Mesa, Ariz.
People came from N.M., Ore., Calif., Texas, Tenn, Minn., Ind., Ill., Mich.,
Ariz. and N.C. Several classmates had not attended previous reunions.
One of the many highlights of the day was a sing-along with Mr. Betz on the
organ and Dan Gould on his trumpet. Mrs. Betz gave out song sheets and led
the singing.
Everyone enjoyed reminiscing with each other. Kathy Miller said they are
anxiously looking forward to their 50th class reunion in 2008.
