Back to Front Page

Alumni, friends, family, and past and present directors of the Chesterton High School Trojan Guard will be gathering together at Hawthorne Park in Porter on Saturday, June 27 for a reunion. All friends, former members, past instructors, parents, boosters, bus drivers, and supporters are invited to attend. The reunion will be held from noon until 8 p.m. at the park. (Deadline to reply is March 31 to beginning of April)

With several attendees having already purchased plane tickets and bus fares to come into town to attend the event, it is anticipated that more than 400 people will celebrate the history of the marching band from its very beginnings through to the present day. Alumni are reported to be arriving from states such as California, Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee, Illinois, and many others to reconnect with friends from the Trojan Guard.

The fee for attending the reunion is $10 for a family of up to four people, and for families of five or more the cost is $15. Fees are due by the end of March/beginning of April to allow time for the reunion committee members to plan for the big event.

Anyone interested in attending must contact Laura Masty, former Drum Major (1991-1994) with questions at ljmasty@gmail.com

or by calling 219-728-7360. The Trojan Guard also has a group page on Facebook which showcases videos, photos, blogs, and important information regarding the band and the reunion.
